The Chaperone is the next movie for Cinema Sunday, March 19 at 2 p.m. and will be shown in the Shadow Lake Village Clubhouse, 3200 Price Road. It is the building to the immediate left after coming through the entrance. Please park in one of the two areas next to the Clubhouse or the swimming pool. Parking is limited (10 spaces in all), so please consider carpooling.

Based on a true story, the movie begins in 1922 Wichita, Kansas, where a young dancer, Louise Brooks, wants to chase her dreams of performing. Louise (Haley Lu Richardson) gets accepted to study at an elite dance school in New York City, but her parents won’t let her attend without a chaperone. Her working parents can’t leave Wichita, so Norma Carlisle, (Elizabeth McGovern, Downton Abbey) a middle-aged woman not content in her marriage, volunteers to accompany her.
Drinks will be provided, but please bring a snack to share. Hope to see you there.
