HOPE BEHIND BARS
You are invited to an enlightening program, co-sponsored by Women’s Network and the League of Women Voters of Bartlesville.
Our main speaker will be Ellen Stackable, Director of Poetic Justice, a Tulsa non-profit organization helping incarcerated women in Oklahoma’s prisons. We’ll also hear from one of those women and learn of her personal experiences in prison and of the challenges of re-entry.
Mission of Poetic Justice:
“To bring restorative writing and creative arts to women who are incarcerated.”
But the help goes way beyond that. Poetic Justice volunteers offer friendship, encouragement and support to help women gain confidence as they navigate the challenges of life in prison and return to life outside its gates.
“Despair turns to hope, worthlessness to worth, and we are all changed – healed, restored, and empowered.”
Please bring a friend and join us!
